Established in 2011, Improveasy is an Altrincham-based installer of energy efficient home upgrades. We install work nationwide. Our aim is to reduce carbon emissions by improving the energy efficiency of buildings. The more efficient your home is, the lower your energy bills will be. We help to deliver the ECO scheme, alongside several other similar programmes.
According to the Energy Saving Trust, replacing old electric heaters with an air source heat pump can actually save you up to £1100 in fuel bills per year. When heat pumps cost at least £8000 upfront, this is a huge saving! Solar panels can cost about £7000 for a typical home in England, but with ECO4 you will get them for free, and they will then cut your electricity costs by about £300 a year. In a semi detached property, cavity wall insulation costs about £2700 without a grant. When installed for free with ECO4, this will also save you around £300 per year on your heating costs. You could qualify for all 3 of these installs combined! On top of the money saving, the carbon emissions of your property will be drastically reduced – so it’s good for your wallet and for the planet, too.
No. Understandably, this is a common response for us, but we can assure you it is not too good to be true! We are a well rated company across Google and Trustpilot, and since ECO began in 2013 we have been installing energy efficiency measures. If you would like to read over the full Ofgem document on ECO4, you can take a look here (pages 49 and 53 explain the qualifying criteria most clearly). We also work with reputable companies to deliver similar schemes. Right now we are working with Manchester City Council, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, and Trafford Borough Council. If you want to learn more about ECO4 in detail on our website, please click here. Or, give us a call straight away on 0800 058 4432
Yes. There are alternative ways to qualify for the exact same home upgrades on different schemes. We are the only installer delivering ECO Flex across Manchester, Trafford, and Stockport. We can install work across houses covered by Cheshire East Council also! To qualify for ECO Flex, your home must have a poor EPC rating and a joint income of below £31,000, and there are other routes to qualification too, so click here to learn more!
We will always take into account what you do or do not want installed, but ultimately every home is different and certain installs may be unsuitable.ECO4 is a fabric first programme. This means that insulation levels must be to a good level before your heating source is upgraded so the home retains heat efficiently. If the home has no insulation, we must add this prior to anything else. Hardly any installs we undertake involve a single measure, such as just solar panels.
